In the frame of the program of Environmental Education the INADES is executing a Program of Formation of Voluntary Environmental Promoters, with the financial support of CORDAID, a Dutch organization with whom an Agreement of attendance by three years is had. The project consists of enabling and organizing Voluntary Environmental Promoters (PAV) in a program of 12 seminaries per year, of approximately one week of duration each one.
The program is design in the first seminary, by selecting the contents in common agreement with the participants from a diagnosis of the qualification necessities, problems of the communities and the people and present state of the ecosystems in the different areas from origin. All it, having in consideration the formation level, we have interest and aspirations of such participant. In the intervals between the seminaries, the participants make works of protection, promotion, education and communitarian organization.
As stimulus and complement to the formation, the promoters receive special attention to establish, individually or in small groups, productive projects related to the sustainable use of the natural resources in the zones of damping of the protected areas.
Like part of the commitment when getting up itself to the PAV program, the beneficiaries make works of organization and qualification of Environmental and/or compatible Committees in the scopes local and municipal with which permanent projects for the protection and handling of the natural resources are identified and planned and the environment of their communities.
They also take care, with the technical support of personnel of the INADES, to organize the information rise on the situation of the natural resources in their own departments. This inventory is raised with the participation of the communities in order to produce a document on the State of the Natural Resources, that contains reliable and useful information for the decision making.
Some points on the organization of the Program are:
CRITERIA:
Men and women older than18 years
That are evolving like leaders of local organizations or with potential of leadership.
That they know to read and to write with an acceptable level of understanding of written material.
That they have showed preoccupation and commitment as opposed to the problem of handling of natural resources and environment in his/her communities.
Ideally, that has participated in actions of defense of the natural resources.
That they have time to stay in the program of qualification and for the accomplishment of the activities that are planned for the periods between seminaries.
That they have interest in developing a productive project - sustainable.
INADES provides:
Material of study. Lodging and feeding in the places where the seminaries are made. Monitoring visits to support to the PAV in the development of environmental projects and micro companies.
Attendance to the participants to identify and to get to sources of financing for its micro companies.
Diploma of participation when finalizing satisfactorily the annual Program.
The participant organizations we asked to them basically:
Monitoring to the PAV in the works between seminaries. Support to the PAV for the establishment of its productive projects. Expenses of trip of the PAV for all the seminaries (expenses of transport and feeding during the transfer).
